With the halftime score showing the Kougars trailing 30-28 going into the start of the third period, Kishwaukee College had hopes of taking the lead against Sauk Valley College. A difficult shooting night from the floor derailed those plans, as the Kougars fell by the score of 66-50.
The Kougars struggled mightily from the floor as they shoot 32% and went just 2-13 from the 3-pt line. In addition, they went 14-24 from the free-throw line to compound their shooting troubles.
Shamiah Oliver (Curie High School) led the Kougars with a double/double of 18 points and 10 rebounds. Quixmia Washington (Larkin High School) was the only other Kougar in double figure scoring with 14 points, while chipping in with 5 assists.
