The Kishwaukee College women's basketball team couldn't hold a first quarter lead and lost to McHenry County College 70-52. Things started well for Kishwaukee as they led 10-3 to begin the game and Ne'Kya Reaves' 3-pt shot as time expired gave them a 23-22 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The Kougars could not sustain the momentum and headed into the locker room trailing 37-33. The third period was a struggle for the Kougars as they were outscored 19-6. Kishwaukee battled in the final period but could not overcome a tough shooting night and pull out a victory. The Kougars shot just 24% from the floor and 32% from the free-throw line for the game
Tiara Roberts (Marshall HS) was the only Kougar in double figures with 13 points and 13 rebounds. She also posted 6 steals on the night. Briana McWaine (Oswego East HS) led the team in rebounding with 15 and Jayria Hicks (North Lawndale Prep HS) also hit double figures in rebounding with 10.
