The Kishwaukee College women's basketball team put together a 17-0 run to start the game and cruised to a 58-45 victory over Black Hawk College. The Kougars came out on fire and held the Braves to 17% shooting for the first half, going into the locker room with a 27-15 lead.
The Kougars were led in scoring by Quixmia Washington (Larkin High School) and Shamiah Oliver (Curie High School) with 14 points each. Jayria Hicks (North Lawndale College Prep High School) had a double/double with 12 points and 16 rebounds. She also added 5 blocked shots for the Kougars.
With the win the Kougars move to 2-4 in Arrowhead Conference play and 9-12 overall.
