The Kishwaukee Kougars out-scored Black Hawk East 38-33 in the final two quarters, but it was not enough, as they fell by a final score of 77-72. The Kougars had a difficulty maintaining possession of the basketball throughout the game, finishing with 31 turnovers, to Black Hawk's 22. Kishwaukee was within four points with 28.5 seconds to play and had an apparent steal, but Black Hawk East was given a timeout and scored on the ensuing possession.

                Victoria Baker (Tinley Park High School) and Shamiah Oliver (Curie High School), led the Kougars with 17 points each. Baker had a double/double on the evening, hauling in 17 rebounds, including 7 on the offensive end, while Oliver also collected a double/double with 10 rebounds.
