The Kishwaukee Kougar women's basketball team battled the snow to travel to the College of Lake County and came home with a win, 71-30. The Kougars were dominate from the beginning winning the first two periods by a score of 32-9. The second half was more of the same as Kishwaukee continued to defend and score, winning the second two periods, 39-21.
The Kougars used balanced scoring to help obtain the victory, with Jayria Hicks (North Lawndale Prep HS) leading the team in both scoring and rebounding with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Ashley Jackson (North Lawndale Prep HS) followed with 15 points and Shamiah Oliver (Curie HS) had 13 points to round out the double figure scorers.
With the win, the Kougars move to 3-2 on the season and have their home opener on Tuesday, November 24th versus McHenry County. Tip-off is at 5:30 pm.
