The Kishwaukee College women's basketball team jumped to a 28-3 first quarter lead, and kept the foot on the gas as the powered past Daley College 99-28. The Kougars forced Daley College into 41 turnovers and held them to just 15% shooting for the game.
Kishwaukee was balanced in their scoring attack with five different players in double figures. Tiara Roberts (Marshall HS) led the Kougars with 17 points followed by LaShonda Black (Lindblom Academy) with 15 points. Jayria Hicks (North Lawndale Prep) scored 14 points and Ashley Jackson (North Lawndale Prep) and Ne'Kya Reaves (Bogan Tech HS) had 13 and 12 points apiece.
The Kougars out-rebounded Daley College 79-42 led by Hicks with 16 rebounds and followed by Roberts with 11 and Edwards with 10.
Kishwaukee continues their road trip Thursday, November 19th as they travel to the College of DuPage. Tip-off is at 7:00 pm.
