Kishwaukee Baseball Splits

      The Kougars of Kishwaukee College split an afternoon double-header versus Black Hawk College. In the first game of the twin bill, the Kougars scored a run in the 7th inning, with the score tied at 3, to take the victory at 4-3.

      Aaron Paschal went 6 2/3 innings on the mound, giving up 3 earned runs with Corey Nelson coming in to get the final out and the victory. At the plate David Salguiero went 2-4 with a double and drove in two runs and Donte Albert went 2-2 with a triple and a stolen base.

      In the second game the Kougars headed into the 7th inning trailing 3-2, but gave up 6 runs, while only scoring 1, to lose 9-3. Austin Broyles took the loss on the mound, giving up 5 earned runs in 6 innings. Matt Albert went 1-2 at the plate, driving in 2 runs while Brett Dowling drove in the 3rd.

      With the split, Kishwaukee moves to 13-14 on the season.
