Freshman pitcher Kody Kutzke pitched 8 and 2/3's innings of shutout baseball to bring home a 3-0 victory over visiting Waubonsee Community College. Kutzke gave up four hits and struck out five to get the win. Devon Branch relieved in the bottom of the ninth to earn his second save of the season.

At the plate Gary Garcia, Brett Dowling and David Salguiero all had two hits to pace the Kougars. Dowling and Aneudy DeLacruz each drove in a run.

With the win the Kougars collected their eighth win in a row and are 31-18 on the year.
