The Kishwaukee College softball team improved to 18-13 on the season with a series split at Madison College. The Kougars took the first game 8-0, but fell in the second 8-7.
The first game was a game of stellar pitching for the Kougars as Jasmine Kerley went five innings while only allowing three hits and striking out three. At the plate, Bailey Johnson, and Kelsie Thurman each had two hits, with Johsnon driving in two runs.
In the second game Kishwaukee found themselves down 5-0 at the end of the first inning, and 7-3 at the end of the third. They scored two runs in the 5th and 7th innings to tie the game at seven, but could not hold on, giving up a run in the bottom of the seventh to end the game.
The Kougars had fourteen hits in the game with Christina Williams and Jessica Townsend going 3-4, each with two doubles. Townsend also drove in three runs.
