Kish Softball Wins Two

Kishwaukee Softball Sweeps, Winning Streak at 6 Games

 

                The Kishwaukee Kougars softball team combined for 24 runs on 36 hits in a two game sweep of Highland Community College. The Kougars won the first game 13-4 and the second game 11-6.

Kishwaukee was led at the plate by Jessica Townsend and Courtney Olufs, both going 5-8, Kelsie Thurman, who went 4-7 with 2 RBI, a triple and a double, and Christina Williams, going 7-9 with a triple and 3 RBI. Sabrina Kileen homered and drove in 5 runs on the day.

Jasmine Kerley pitched 9 innings, giving up just two earned runs, to notch both victories. With the wins, the Kougars 5th and 6th in a row, Kishwaukee moves to 15-12 on the season.
