The Kishwaukee Kougar's men's basketball team earned a BIG win against the Defending NJCAA Div. III National Champions & the current #1 ranked team in the country by a score of 89-63. Kishwaukee is currently (10-0) and holds the #4 ranking in for NJCAA Div. II schools. The Kougar's started fast as they have all year long with a 24-4 lead in the 1st half. Kishwaukee's pressing defense forced Rock Valley into turnovers and early missed shots. The Golden Eagles would come back and cut Kishwaukee's lead down to 10-points at half-time (42-32). The Kougar's re-grouped and went on a 22-0 run to start the 2nd half and outlasted Rock Valley into a 36-point victory.

     6' 4" Kishwaukee sophomore shooting guard Juwan Starks(West Aurora HS) lead the way with a game high 29 points and 5 rebounds. The Kougar's also received big games from multiple players including 6' 0" freshman point guard Yashua Trent(Willowbrook HS) with 16 points, 11 rebounds, 6 assists, and 4 steals, 6' 7" sophomore forward Andre Harris(Dekalb HS) contributed 12 points and 9 rebounds, 6' 3" sophomore forward Shaquille Francis(Sheboygan North HS, Sheboygan WI.) had 16 points and 8 rebounds. The Kougar's look to continue their winning streak with another road game this coming Saturday at Region IV opponent Oakton College at 3pm.
