Kish WBB qualify for postseason, fall to MVCC in first round

February 25, 2026 - The Kishwaukee College Women's Basketball team travelled to Palos Hills Wednesday night to tackle the #1 seeded Cyclones of Moraine Valley CC in the quarterfinal game of the NJCAA Region 4 Division II, District A tournament.  It was the #16 seeded Kougars first appearance in the region tourney in three seasons.  Unfortunately, Kish would fall 108-65 at the final horn.  Sophomore Precious French (DeKalb HS) led the team in scoring followed by teammate redshirt freshman Cayla Evans (DeKalb HS) who tallied 18 points and Sophomore Kara Martinez (Rochelle Township HS) with 14 points. Freshmen Ella Medina (DeKalb HS) and Natalie Hall (Earlville HS) added 6 and 4 points repectively. Freshman Kezaria Mitchell (DeKalb HS) had 4 assists and 3 rebounds for Kish and Sophomore Derrionna Hogg (James Madison-TX HS) chipped in with 6 rebounds and 2 assists plus a block.  Kishwaukee finishes the season 8-22.  "Overall it was a nice season as we competed every game for 40 minutes, but we also were able to build a foundation for next season now that the freshman have a taste of the post season plus what it will take to get better every day in preperation for region and conference play", said Head Coach Tre Jackson.
