WBB get tripped up in Arrowhead Conference opener

January 8, 2026 - The Kishwaukee College Women's Basketball team opened up Arrowhead Conference play on Thursday night hosting Sandbutg College.  After trailing 16-15 after one quarter, the Kougars would go on to lose 79-62.  25 turnovers with almost half not getting a shot up to the basket plus consistant offensive rebounding by Sandburg was the difference in this one.  Cayla Evans led Kish with 15 points followed by Kendyl Darby with 12 points.  Darby also recorded 25 rebounds which ties her for third all-time in Kishwaukee history for a single game.  Precious French also added 11 points for Kish.

Kishwaukee (5-10 overall, 0-1 Arrowhead Conference) will bounce back quickly with a game versus Harper College this Saturday at 1:00 pm.  Harper had beaten the Kougars previously in Palatine 51-44.
