Womens Basketball gets Region 4 win over McHenry CC

November 13, 2025 – The Kish Women's Basketball team travelled to Crystal Lake, Illinois Thursday night to battle NJCAA Region 4 foe McHenry County College.  The Kougars would outscore the Scots 20-16 in the first quarter and go into halftime up 43-24.  MCC edged Kish in scoring in the third and fourth quarters but Kishwaukee held on to a 71-61 victory. Freshman Ella Medina (DeKalb HS) and sophomore Derrionna Hogg (James Madison-TX HS) led the way for the Kougs in scoring with 15 points each.  Freshman Kezaria Mitchell (DeKalb HS) followed closely with 13 points and 17 rebounds - which led both teams.

Freshman Kendyl Darby (Rochelle Township HS) and Cayla Evans (DeKalb HS) tallied 10 points each plus sophomore Macey Stoddard (Rockford Christian HS) chipped in with 4 points, 2 steals and 3 assists while freshman Natalie Hall (Earlville HS), battled for Kish on the defensive end all game, adding 3 rebounds and 2 points.  Hogg also grabbed 14 rebounds (6 offensive) and sophomore Kara Martinez had 2 rebounds and passed out 3 assists.

Kishwaukee moves to 2-3 overall on the young season and will travel again Saturday to Oakton Community College to take on the Owls at 1:00 pm
