April 15, 2021 - The Kishwaukee College Mens Soccer team travelled to Grayslake, Illinois to take on host College of Lake County in early season action Thursday. Two overtimes later the teams finished the match tied 1-1. CLC took a 1-0 lead into halftime but constant offensive pressure by the Kougars, led by Jose Carmona (Sycamore HS), Ore Omosebi (Lincoln Park HS), Tyler Scarbrough (DeKalb HS), Max Torres (Rochelle HS) and Mauro Talamantes (DeKalb HS) led to an unassisted marker by Joseph Quinn (Sycamore HS) in the second half. Defense was key throughout the tough match as Aldo Castro (DeKalb HS), Josue Almaraz (Rochelle HS) and Jacob Hove were stout in the second half and in OT. Matt Haeseker (DeKalb HS) was solid in goal for Kish.
Kishwaukee (1-1-1 overall) will be back home this Saturday, April 17 as part of a men's/women's back to back match day in Malta against Oakton CC teams starting with the men's match at noon followed by the Kish women's team at 3:00 pm. Both matches will be live streamed.
