September 22, 2018 - The Kishwaukee Men's Soccer team had to play a full 90 minutes to defeat a tough Eagles squad from Illinois valley Community College Saturday. Abdiel Cheri got things going quickly for the Kougars in the first :17 seconds of the first half scoring on an assist from Alejandro Gutierrez. Cheri would assist Carson Riggs at the 7:01 mark to give Kish a 2-0 lead. IVCC would score three unanswered goals to take a 3-2 halftime lead. However, the Kougars took charge in the second half with solid defensive performances by Joseph O'Brien, Ivan Belmonte, Angel Martinez. Josh Pepping and Goalie Genaro Rodriguez. Cheri would add the tying marker at the 55:57 mark with a pass from Adrian Ruiz and then Cheri would put in the game winner at 70:07 with another assist from Gutierrez. Kishwaukee will travel to Glen Ellyn Tuesday, September 25 at 4:00 to play the College of DuPage and then finish the week at Morton College in Cicero Saturday, September 29 at 3:00 pm.
