September 26, 2025 – The Kishwaukee College men's golf team competed in the two-day Sauk Valley Invitational, hosted at Timber Creek Golf Club (Sept. 25) and Deer Valley Golf Course (Sept. 26). The Kougars entered two teams — Kishwaukee Green and Kishwaukee White — in a strong field of Region IV competition.
Day One – Timber Creek (Sept. 25)
The Green team was led by freshman Landon Taylor (Sycamore HS), who posted a 79. Sophomore Evan Peterson (Yorkville HS) added an 83, while Joshua Glass (Yorkville HS) and Johnny Lochbaum (Sycamore HS) each shot 91. The Green team opened with a team score of 344 (+104).
For the White team, Jordan Spears paced the group with a 92, followed by Chris Hickey (103), Gio Data (106), and Logan Thorson (119) for a total of 403 (+163).
Day Two – Deer Valley (Sept. 26)
The standout performance came from Johnny Lochbaum, who fired a 74 to record the Kougars' best round of the tournament. Evan Peterson added another consistent effort with a 79, while Bryce Olson (DeKalb HS) shot 89 and Joshua Glass turned in a 90. The Green team improved to 332 (+92) on day two.
For the White team, Logan Thorson led with a 98, followed by Jordan Spears (102), Chris Hickey (103), and Giovanni Data (118). The White team closed with a 421 (+133).

Kishwaukee White – 824 (+252) (14th place)

Coach John Karpowicz was encouraged by the team's progress heading into October:
"We had some strong individual rounds, and Johnny's 74 really set the tone for what our guys are capable of. The focus now is on building consistency as we prepare for the Arrowhead Conference Championships on October 6th and 7th."
The Kougars return to action on Tuesday, September 30th at the Benedictine Invitational in West Chicago.
