February 5, 2026 - The Kougars Men's basketball team was back in action Thursday night hosting Illinois Valley CC. It was also Sophomore Night for Kish as Kish Athletics celebrated the contributions of our sophomores on the court and in the classroom: Carson Bahrey, "AJ" Antoine Burns, "AB" Aris Bush, Griffin Cook, Le'Khai Davis, Aaron Gant, Carron Gibson, Zaheem Jackson, and Arquis Yancey. After a slow start from the emotional pre-game ceremony, the Kougs would hold a 35-28 halftime lead over the Eagles. Defensive pressure by the Kougars caused some key turnovers in the second half action and propelled them to a 79-69 Arrowhead Conference victory. Ramsey Bethel led the way for Kish with 17 points, followed by balanced scoring from teammates Aris Bush with 16 points, Ben Larry with 15 points, Zaheem Jackson with 12 points, Arquis Yancey 10 points and Carson Bahrey with 8 points.
Kishwaukee is now 10-13 overall and move to 4-1 in the Arrowhead Conference. They will host College of DuPage this Saturday before playing an important Arrowhead Conference game Tuesday night at Black Hawk College.
