November 18, 2025 - The Kishwaukee College Kougars Esports program is celebrating another milestone achievement as Fortnite duo of Clayton Lindgren and Nathan Knight captured the NJCAAE Division I East Regionals Championship, defeating Bergen Community College in a commanding 3–1 series victory.
The best-of-five matchup opened with Kishwaukee striking fast and confidently, securing Match 1 with ease as Lindgren and Knight controlled key positions and dictated the eliminations from start to finish. Momentum briefly shifted in Match 2, where heavy third-party pressure from multiple surrounding teams disrupted their rhythm and allowed Bergen to even the series.
But the Kougars refused to let adversity linger.
Regrouping between rounds, Lindgren and Knight adjusted their drop strategy, landed aggressively, and immediately took command of the lobby. Their coordinated pushes, precise communication, and dominance in close-range engagements powered them to emphatic victories in Matches 3 and 4, sealing the 3–1 regional championship win.
This triumph earns the duo a place in the NJCAAE Nationals Playoffs, beginning December 1st and concluding on December 8th, where the top collegiate Fortnite teams in the country will battle for national honors.
Kishwaukee Esports continues to build on its growing legacy, and Lindgren and Knight's run adds yet another chapter of excellence to the Kougars program as they prepare for the biggest stage of their season.
