April 9, 2022 - The Kishwaukee College Baseball team travelled to Freeport to battle Highland CC.  In game one, Kish would fight back from a 4-0 deficit after three innings to score twice in the fourth and a big 7 spot in the sixth on the way to a 9-5 victory. Ryan Nelson went 4 for 4 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI for the Kougars.  Teammates Darnell Coleman (2 hits, RBI) Tyler Jacobsen (run scored), Nate Stear (run scored, RBI) and Blake Novinsky (runs scored) added hits to the offensive attack.  Kish also had 10 stolen bases in the game to ignite the offense.  Jaden Jones was on the mound for the Kougars going 6 resilient innings with 8 strikeouts as Tyler Potter and Gavin Gallagher shared the seventh.  Game two saw Highland fight back for a 10-1 win.  Nelson picked up two more hits while Kishwaukee's Isaiah Nunez, Jimmy Kalyviaris, Zach Cantu and Nelson each contributed a hit each.  The Kougars are scheduled to host Highland on Tuesday in Malta beginning at 2:00 pm
